Being
the second of 3 generations of McNally's to be involved
with Harvest, Sean finds himself in the unique position
of both father and son. His contribution to the Harvest
International Times newsletter is the column by the
same name: Father and Son. Sometimes
quirky, sometimes serious, Sean hopes that it will
prove always to be thought provoking and to possibly
even present some with an entirely new perspective,
from a father and son to fathers and sons.

Christmas Wisdom Part 2
Okay, it’s been a few months since the last newsletter. Christmas
is a distant memory. The kids probably don’t even play with
their “new” toys anymore (mine usually spend more time playing
with the boxes... but then again, they are my kids...) Let’s
take a quick trip a few months back. Christmas morning 8am (I
told you they were my kids)the family is assembled around the
tree. Wide eyes scour the packages for their name. A kaleidescope
of colors; blinking lights, shiny oranments and wrapping paper.
Oh the wrapping paper. So much time spent to make it look just
right. A snip here, a tuck there. Then, in a flurry of excitement,
it’s ripped away to reveal what’s inside... the good stuff.
You know, in my 32 years of Christmas’, I’ve yet to hear someone
say “Well, the wrapping is kind of different... I don’t think
I’m interested in what’s inside.” Hmmm... Just a little reminder
about the good stuff from a father and son to fathers and sons.
